Scott Bienenfeld, MD
Board Certified Psychiatrist
Board certified psychiatrist who is also certified in addiction medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at NYU and has been treating people in recovery for over 15 years. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bienenfeld serves as Director of The Recovery Spot, an intensive outpatient treatment program for addiction. He is also a consulting psychiatrist for Road Recovery, a nationally recognized program designed to keep teen-agers sober through music and the arts.
Dr. Bienenfeld received his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 1997. He trained at New York University for his general psychiatry residency and then at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Yeshiva University for his forensic psychiatry fellowship. He is certified by both the American Society of Addiction Medicine and The American Board of Addiction Medicine in General Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Bienenfeld is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
